Metelis Observation Tower stands in Metelis Regional Park, near one of the largest lakes in Dzukija – Lake Metelis. From the 18-meter tower, views extend over the lake expanse, islands, and surrounding wetlands. It is one of the best places in Lithuania for bird watching – swans, cranes, great bitterns, and other rare birds nest here. Metelis Regional Park protects unique wetland biotopes. The tower is popular among ornithologists and nature photographers. A nature trail around the lake runs nearby.
