A beach on Lake Galvė in Trakai, with a view of the legendary island castle. A popular recreation spot near the historic Trakai Old Town.
Trakai Beach is located on Lake Galvė – one of the most beautiful lakes in Lithuania, with the legendary Trakai Castle on its island. The beach is sandy and well-kept, suitable for families with children. From the beach, there is an excellent view of Trakai Island Castle and the lake shores. In summer, visitors can rent pedal boats, kayaks, and rowboats. Nearby are the Trakai Historical National Park, the Karaite ethnographic exhibition, and restaurants offering traditional kibinai. Trakai is just 28 km from Vilnius.
