The hillfort was an important defensive point in the Duchy of Trakai. Today it is a peaceful, forest-surrounded site in Aukštadvaris Regional Park, near the town of Aukštadvaris. The hillfort is one of many archaeological monuments in the Trakai district, testifying to the rich history of this region.
