A museum presenting the history of the Druskininkai spa resort from the 18th-century discovery of mineral waters to the modern resort. Balneology and spa heritage is exhibited.

The Druskininkai City Museum presents the history of one of Lithuania's oldest and most famous spa resorts. Druskininkai is renowned for its mineral waters, discovered in the 18th century, and in 1794 the location was officially declared a resort by decree of King Stanislaw August Poniatowski. The museum exhibition covers the development of balneology, spa architecture, the resort's cultural life, and famous guests. Historical documents, photographs, medical instruments, and resort advertising materials are displayed. A separate exhibition is dedicated to composer and painter M.K. Ciurlionis, whose family lived in Druskininkai. The museum functions as a center for Druskininkai's cultural heritage.
