Clock Museum
The only clock museum in Lithuania, presenting the history of timekeeping from ancient sundials to modern atomic chronometers. It operates in a neoclassical building.
The Clock Museum is a unique museum in Klaipeda, the only one of its kind in Lithuania. The museum operates in a beautiful neoclassical building and presents the history of timekeeping from ancient civilizations to modern technologies. The exhibition features sundials, water clocks, hourglasses, candle clocks, pendulum clocks, spring-driven clocks, and electronic timepieces. The museum belongs to the Lithuanian Art Museum and preserves a valuable collection of antique clocks from various European countries. In the courtyard is a sundial park where visitors can try different timekeeping methods themselves. It is a favorite spot for both Klaipeda residents and city guests.
