The Lithuanian Aviation Museum operates next to the S. Darius and S. Girenas airfield in Kaunas and is the only specialized aviation museum in Lithuania. The exhibition tells the story of Lithuanian aviation history from its origins in the early 20th century – the famous Darius and Girenas transatlantic flight, interwar military aviation, to modern NATO air policing missions. The museum displays authentic aircraft, helicopters, engines, pilot uniforms, and documents. The outdoor exhibition features Soviet and NATO military aircraft. The museum organizes aviation festivals and educational programs for children. It is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts.
