Merkys Observation Tower stands in Dzukija National Park, near one of the cleanest rivers in Lithuania – the Merkys. From the 25-meter tower, a wide view opens onto the sea of Dzukija forests, the Merkys River valley, and surrounding villages. Dzukija National Park is the largest national park in Lithuania, famous for its pristine forests, mushrooms, and berries. The tower is an excellent place for nature observation – stork nests, flying birds, and animal trails can be spotted here. It is especially beautiful in the early morning when fog settles over the Merkys valley.
