Plateliai Lake Beach is located in Žemaitija National Park, on the largest lake in Samogitia (1,205 ha). Lake Plateliai is famous for its clean water and rich nature. The beach is sandy, with steps into the water and changing cabins. Nearby are the Plateliai Manor with an exhibition, a diving center (there are sunken objects in the lake), and water activity rentals. Žemaitija National Park offers educational trails, cycling routes, and campsites. The traditional Shrove Tuesday (Užgavėnės) celebration takes place here annually.
