The largest national park in Lithuania, encompassing Dainava forests and Čepkeliai bog. Famous for mushroom-picking traditions and the Ūla river – the most popular kayaking route in Lithuania.

Dzukija National Park is the largest national park in Lithuania (585.2 km²), established in 1991 in southern Lithuania. The park territory contains the largest bog in Lithuania – Čepkeliai, protected as a biosphere reserve. The Ūla river, flowing through pine forests and sandy banks, is the most popular kayaking route in the country. Dzūkija villages preserve old mushroom and berry picking traditions – visitors can taste traditional Dzūkija cuisine. The park is home to moose, wolves, lynx, and numerous bird species. Merkinė and Liškiava are important historical towns within the park boundaries.
