Labanoras Regional Park is the largest regional park in Lithuania (553.5 km²), established in 1992 in eastern Lithuania. The park's core is Labanoras forest, one of the largest and oldest forests in Lithuania, where centuries-old oaks and pines grow. The park contains numerous lakes – Žeimenys, Žeimenėlis, Aisetas, and many others. Rare bird species live here – black storks, ospreys, and owls. The park borders Aukstaitija National Park, together forming a vast continuous nature protection zone. It is an excellent destination for long hiking and kayaking trips.
