Regional Park
Panemune Regional Park
The park stretches along the Nemunas bank and encompasses the famous Panemunė castles – Raudonė, Panemunė, and Veliuona. A harmony of history and nature.
Panemune Regional Park, established in 1992, stretches along the left bank of the Nemunas from Jurbarkas to Vilkija. It is one of the richest in cultural heritage among Lithuanian regional parks – featuring three famous Panemunė castles: Raudonė Castle with its 33.5 m tower, Panemunė Castle (17th century), and Veliuona hillforts. The Nemunas castles route is a popular tourist itinerary connecting these sites. The park features steep Nemunas slopes, old oak groves, and nature monuments. Several nature trails and cycling routes run along the Nemunas.
