Salantai Regional Park
The park is famous for the unique Orvydas garden – a blend of art and nature with stone sculptures. The Salantai surroundings feature large glacial boulders.
Salantai Regional Park, established in 1992, encompasses the Salantas river basin and surroundings in western Lithuania. The park's most famous site is the Orvydas garden, created by sculptor Kazimieras Orvydas, who during the Soviet era collected and saved religious crosses and sculptures from destruction. Today it is a unique open-air art installation. The park features several large glacial boulders, including the Mokas stone. The town of Salantai has a classicist church and manor. Nature is rich in springs, streams, and wetlands home to rare plants and animals.
