Regional Park

Veisiejai Regional Park

A southern Lithuanian park famous for clean lakes and the Ančia river. The Veisiejai surroundings are one of the cleanest and most peaceful areas in Lithuania.

Veisiejai Regional Park, established in 1992, is in southern Lithuania, near the Polish border. The park contains several clean lakes – Eičiūnai, Šlavantas, and others, surrounded by forests and hills. The Ančia river meanders quietly through the park territory, creating a cozy landscape. The town of Veisiejai has an old church and square. The surroundings are known for their cleanliness and peace – there is little industry or intensive agriculture. The park is suitable for hiking, fishing, and nature observation. Nearby is Metelis Regional Park, so visits to both parks can be combined.
