Peaceful neighbor of Palanga – family-friendly seaside resort with clean beach and Šventoji River for water activities.
Šventoji is Lithuania's quietest seaside resort, once a small fishing village. The name comes from the Šventoji River. In the early 20th century a port operated here, later covered by sand. Today it is a family-friendly resort with wide beaches and cycling paths.
Šventoji is a peaceful northern neighbor of Palanga, popular among families with children. The beaches here are not as crowded as in Palanga, and the atmosphere is calmer. The Šventoji River offers water activities – kayaks, SUP boards, pedal boats. To the north is Dutchman's Cap – the most impressive coastal cliff in Lithuania (24 m high), a geological and natural monument. A cycling path connects Šventoji with Palanga (10 km) – a great way to explore the coast. The resort is especially suitable for families and those seeking tranquility.
