Biržai is a northern Lithuanian town, seat of the Radziwiłł family since the 16th century. The Radziwiłł princes built a fortress and Reformed church, making Biržai a center of Protestantism in Lithuania. The surroundings are famous for karst sinkholes and breweries.
Biržai is a Northern Lithuanian town, unofficially called Lithuania's beer capital. The famous Rinkuškiai Brewery operates here, offering tastings and tours. Biržai Castle is one of the most beautiful Renaissance castles in Lithuania, built by the Radziwiłł family in the 17th century. Today it houses the "Sėla" regional museum. The Biržai area is geologically unique – it has the most sinkholes (karst collapses) in Lithuania. The largest is Cow Cave (30 m diameter, 12 m deep). Astravas Manor is another architectural gem, surrounded by a romantic park.
